Thank you for the information.
The root tube and the rest of the fuselage is clean of paint to the metal. There is no numbers on the root tube front or back.

I said enough with the paint stripper and took the fuselage to a sandblaster.
Now that the weather is hanging in the upper 20's I be waiting for warmer days for painting.

I cannot see anything on the plane or information given that would suggest it has been restored by the FAA.

It would be wonderful knowing the year it was made.

With what I have for information this plane has never had a N number. There is no data plate or evidence of a N number removal.

The previous owner did not have much in the way
of information. The plans I do have I bought from Kolb. Like I said. it looks like I will have to make my own serial number.

I stripped the fuselage down, all but the seat.

I removed the boom last week. Ive been very busy at work during the week. leaving me with the weekend only to work. This is all I have done.

I removed the electrical harness, battery and fuel priming system. Then removed the nose cone.

i had an old hodaka road toad. and yes I did depend on the oil feed, until I found myself building the engine because of lack of oil in the fuel. It is just one more thing that will break if left on.
