Sounds like you have a twinstar mark 1. The original designed gross weight of the mark 1 and 11 was 750 lbs. The mark 1 and 11 have 5 inch tail booms and wing spars, and the mark 111 has 6 inch.

I have my pitot on top of the nose and it is accurate (gps checked). If I was doing it again I would try it an inch or so further back as it sometimes gets bent when it's in my crowded hanger.
