Dear listers in France,

  

 I am thinking of buying a farm in France and would  like to create a landing strip for my Europa.

  

 Are there any legal or bureaucratic problems in  doing this in France? The strip will be for my own private use on my own  land.

  

 Any help or guidance would be most  appreciated.

You  can contact Paul Smulders [paulamhi(at)euronet.nl]. He did it and has a farm in the  south of France and finally got permision for a strip. The runway has been  finished. He has a Europa Tri Gear.

Hi Pete,

It is easy to create an private landing strip in France.

When you have your ground property there is small administrativ procedure and in

all case 21 days after the document deposit you use your airstrip.



The main conditions to have no problem is the choice of the geographic

situation.



- Out side of the habitations zone or others airfields zone.

- Direction of the dominent winds average during the year.

- Obstacles.

And all others basics considerations.
