Ron, it’s like PBS in that you would get no direct benefit (your list email won’t stop tomorrow). That said, your contribution would help to ensure that Matt is able to continue to run the mailing lists (Grumman and others) and provide the services you do use. Some folks do contribute and that’s what makes this service possible. No free “Team-Grumman” tote bag or mug though;)
I’m not trying to be holier than thou, and honestly I don’t use this list as much as when I had my Grumman so I may not contribute this year but that’s the system. I agree it’s sometimes like getting whacked over the head to contribute since the volume of traffic on this list is noticeably increased by the contribution messages but he has to let folks know he needs contributions I suppose. Maybe there’s a more tactful way?
