Just received a new service letter, in the mail, on the door warning switches shipped after August 2006. Here is a link to it on Van's site:

As another double check I found you can easily feel the rod as you latch the door by reaching back from the front seat. It still works after I installed the interior from flightline interiors. Folks in the back seat that fly with you regularly can also see it very easily if you trust them. It good push to confirm closed is my last line of defense.
