Folks,

We are getting a record number of clinic start up events at the flyredstar website www.flyredstar.org/T_Events.aspx and thats great for all of us with these gas prices climbing...getting ecom requests and questions on obtaining attendee info from the www.flyredstar.org website.

Organizers know it takes seconds to click the link on the fly-in page titled "Create Your Fly-In!" to make a posted fly-in. Total time to make an event online; 60 seconds or less based on how much you want to say in the remarks.

The form the attendees fill out is also quick, and grabs some crucial information, such as date inbound, type of aircraft inbound, number of guests, pilot total hours, FAST qual - to include student, IP or Check Pilot, if ground school is requested, phone #, email, etc.

But how does the author / creator of the event get all this attendee info quickly to plan from ?? How about 30 seconds and 3 clicks of the mouse ??

This info is stored on the RPA server 24/7 waiting for the creator, and only the creator, of the event to download it in those three clicks, here's how:

Three clicks are:

1. First click: Clicking on "Manage your Fly-In" link on the right side of the main FLY-IN list page. This will then present only the events you created in a new window. If you were the author of two events for 2008, this click will open a window with both your events listed with special editing controls...

2. Second click: On this new browserr window/page, Click the "registered" button next to your event to see your total attendance list of names and phone numbers onscreen in a new browser window. Btw, you are also given the button options here to delete the entire event or edit the event details.

3. Third click: With this window open with the list of your attendees, to download the detailed attendee info cited above in excell, your third mouse click is on the link at the top right of the page called "Text (CSV) Format" - this will give you the file to save on your computer of all the info on your attendees.

My PC has excell as the default database software and opens the file automatically when I click the link cited above; all told, the process takes about 30 seconds to have all attendee info in organized columns and sent to the printer.

The new version 3.0 association website will have an almost identical module for receiving your attendee info, although such language as "Text (CSV) Format" will certainly be changed to "Download Your Attendee Info" and more will be done to simplfy the website Im sure.

Hope this helps.
