I have been removing all the unwanted gear from my CJ. I have Doug's Manuals and I have come across a box not mentioned in the manuals.
It behind the pilot seat centered on the floor right under the shelf that the mag compass gear is on. The number on the box is JTY-1...anyone know what it is?

Voltage regulator, solid state.........................think you'd better leave that one unless you are installing a B&C alternator
