But how come the speed brakes come out if the pressure goes down? I could understand it if they wouldnt stay out?

Also make sure you Hydraulic res is full as well. I had the same problem in my L29 and thought it was some type of electrical bug..but slowly it got worse until my flaps would only work above 75% rpm. New pump fixed everything. It just happened to another L-29 I fly and we changed the pump out and all fixed...

Actually some of you may be able to help. I am writing my co owners of our L29 OY-LSD re different things.
One thing is that apparently our speed brakes come out by themselves some times. No one touches the buttons, speed is low and then suddenly the light comes on (if you see it - maybe it doesn't all the times) and you can hear the ordinary "clap" when they close.
Anyone?

I don't know that one but I've known 3 '29s that had the same problem
and in all three it was the pump

I had the same problem with mine. Found the Speed sensor had a bad wire that would ground and activate the speed brakes. Fixed the wiring, problem solved. I also agree with Greg, if the reservoir is not dead full, you can loose hydraulic functionality.
