Well Folks C
This is one of the hardest (and maybe one of the shortest;) emails I have ever composed. Basically I have hit a brick wall and the only way around it is to sell th RV-10 project and go LSA. I'm thankful Van's is marketing the RV-12 C but alas it's not a 10.
Project details C photos and price can be found on my website www.aviationstop.com. Feel free to contact me off line.

Hi Vern,
I'm very sorry to hear it. I know how heartbroken I would be if I had to part with my project this close to the finish line... though with the 12 you might actually be in the air sooner.

Hi Jeff C
Thanks for the encouraging thoughts. I never looked at there being an up side to get an RV-12 in the air sooner. What? Every gray cloud has a silver lining:)
One question that has come up is about the 51% rule for the new owner. I have discussed this with both the EAA and the FAA registration office and both said this will not be a problem for the new owner/builder. In fact C the FAA gave me step by step instructions on how the transfer ownership and ensure a smooth transition and registration for the new owner. To say the less my builder's log and ownership paper trail back to Van's is crucial. Good thing I'm a documentation nut! Of course C dealing with government agencies and documentation is how I make my living.

The registration at 51% won't be a problem but a buyer may not get the repair certificate..so that would be the main worry.

Tim C
Thank you for the reassurance C as the 51% thing had been a real concern. It was interesting the gentleman at the EAA said the repairman's certificate would depend greatly on the individual inspector and what kind of day he was having. But as the saying goes your mileage may vary!
