				Lowell,
Those dimensions are described perfectly. I'll preform them with stiff cardboard before I bend any metal. Thanks for taking the time to get these dimensions for me. Sounds like you've done these before.

I'm building a Classic IV and was hoping someone has the dimensions of the lower

firewall panels. I'll be installing a Rotax 912 and I have the cutout for the

starter for the panel. I only need the dimensions for the center and ether left

or right panel since I assume they are the same size. Thanks
 Paul

 Paul,
The dimensions of what I would call the foot wells are : top forward
bend begins right below the side engine mount and is 4" to the downward
bend. The lower section runs from that bend 10-3/8" to the bottom bend.
This results is a foot well that extends forward of the plane of the
firewall slightly under 4" at the top, tapering to zero at the bottom.
The extension that fits over and around the bottom front of the fuselage
is 1-3/8" top to bend and then extends aft under the fuselage 5-3/8".
The gap between the foot wells is 6" wide.

If this sounds confusing, drop another

				Paul,
No, but I did weld up my own engine mount. It was just that my airplane is just outside the the door with the cowl off and in perfect condition for measurements. I did have to modify the cowl a bit for my new engine mount, but it was more like plastic surgery.
