Four or five valve cover screws are leaking oil on my C85. It has the red silicone gaskets. The screws are really tight now and still leak a fair amount. It's on a certified plane. Is there some thing legal that can be used to halt the leak? I have Tight Seal on hand.

Eric:
You answered your own question and I quote: " The screws are really tight now and still leak a fair amount." REALLY TIGHT is what is causing it.
Start by:
1 - Removing the cover and the gasket
2 - Cleaning the cylinder face and cover face well, use SCOTCHBRITE and MEK
3 - Wipe down the silicone gasket with a QUICK wipe of MEK.
4 - By pulling on the gasket as you go all the way around - LOOK - for nicks and tares, especially around the screw holes. If found replace that gasket.
5 - Install the gasket on the cleaned surfaces of the cylinder & cover.
6 - MY TRICK - Totally legal - Use RED Loctite on the threads of the screws. Yes, RED Loctite.
7 - Tighten the screws in a STAR PATTERN - Tighten the cover to a uniform height - Just enough to show compression of the gasket.
8 - Unfortunately torque values do not work because the gasket squishes. But, do not go "really tight". It's a case of experience. You now have the experience of what NOT TO DO! I'm sure you will figure out the rest.
