The flap motor operates a vertical screw shaft which rotates in a nylon bushing riveted to the flap actuating arm. It is accessible after removing the white cover behind the pilot's seat.
The screw shaft should be lubricated with lithium grease, I believe.
If a 3 in 1 type oil is applied to the metal screw shaft, it causes the nylon bushing to expand. Over time, flap movement slows and the flap breaker starts popping due to the excess load. The cure is to tap out the nylon bushing until the screw shaft moves freely inside it.
Turning the vertical drive shaft of my plane in de nylon bushing is difficult to be done by hand because of too much friction. To cure this problem, Paul advises to tap out the nylon bushing. But then my question is: which size of thread is in the bushing?
My second question is: is a replacement set of shaft and bushing still available for the Allegro 2000?
Thank you for your comments.

Fellow Allegro list members:
Hugh´s idea of having a new nut made out of plastic material (not nylon but a better quality material for this porpose) appears to be feasible. I found a machining factory in the Netherlands that is equipped to do this job.
See the site (in Dutch): http://www.mafaha.nl/
They accepted an order for 4 to 5 pieces at a price of 75 Euros a piece. To be sure that the nuts are dimensionally perfect I have to bring them the threaded shaft and the present nylon nut. Bringing them the parts can hopefully be done in a couple of weeks from now.
