Subject: Fuel pump
Hello OC,
My new pump was to ship yesterday, I hope to have it in a few days. In the meantime I changed the inline fuel filter and checked the pressure that my electric boost pump out. It is 20#, I think the Manuel calls for 35 / 53# un metered (at)2800 rpm, after the throttle body, I think, I don't have the book with me. I don't recall if there is a Min. / Max. pressure for the boost pump. Do you know?
I took the old pump apart and couldn't see any thing broken. I put it back together and ran it with a drill and it went to 30# and leaked a stream out of the mixture control end, like I saw on the ramp, with the boost pump on. I plan on checking the rest of the fuel lines for blockage or debris as I put the new pump on and check the un metered pressures.
Any thoughts or suggestions?
Tim
