Go with your favorite military control ‘stick handle’…of course I would use a AH-1S which has many switches and some ‘cover’ with the RED flip type…you could rewire the original intended ARM and FIRE buttons as needed.

Hello Fellow Builders, I have decided that the right hand control stick in my KIS TR-1 EAB (Experimental Amateur Built) airplane is too short. One must almost reach down between one’s legs in order to grip the stick handle. (I had previously extended the left side control stick to overcome this problem.)
Since I am going to extend the stick I thought that I might as well put a better control stick handle on the top of the extension.
This is where you come in -- I am seeking your advice on a good choice for a replacement control stick handle. Here are some of my thoughts / criteria:
1) Will be used only by the right hand so grip may be either right hand only shaped or generically shaped.
2) Will need radio transmit keying switch.
3) Will need pitch trim switch(es).
4) Desire aileron trim switch(es).
5) Do not need or want a whole bunch of other switches. This is not a HOTS (Hands On Throttle and Stick) only controlled airplane.
6) Grip material not significant.
7) If I turn out to really like this grip I may eventually also replace the left hand stick grip.
 Cost is not a primary driver on selection.

FWIW I went with the Infinity grip for my airplane. Yes it is almost a HOTS but after flying it this way for almost 600hrs I am glad I did.
I don't have electric flaps so I wired the flap switch to control the fuel pump which is especially GREAT when approaching to land. It is second nature in this position.
Having the flip-flop capability for both the Radio and VOR sure helps a lot especially when flying IFR. Finally I used the bottom button for transponder IDENT. I am now so used to this setup I find other airplanes I fly cumbersome and taking too much of my limited thinking capability.
Once again, just my 2 cents.

I have been very happy with the CH-products grip. They make themn for games, which get many more clicks than we will ever use. My left switch has cooly hat trim on top, push to talk as a trigger switch, + a button below push to talk that I use for auto pilot disengage, and two buttons on top that can be used to switch frequencies, etc. Can be left or right hand.

Hi OC...
I used this grip and I am happy with it.

I set my airplane up with the stick between the seats instead of between the legs. The throttle quadrent in on the left fuselage. I much prefer that to the factory layout. You can rest your forearm on the center console and have your fingers on the stick. It frees up you lap for an iPad or lunch. The mechanism is actually more simple then the factory set up.

I like the Ray Allen Grips. Have one on my Tecnam and Had it on my RV-6 and on my Ultravia Pelican PL.
Everything you want: PTT, Pitch and Roll Trim, left or right side doesn't matter:
