Correct Gilles; no oil damper pots on the Bing carbi unit, just SU and Stromberg constant depression units, same tuning/diagnostic techniques are useful for all three types; the Bing differs to the other two in that their is no external facility to adjust the main jet mixture (only internal needle height by circlip, or adjust piston raising speed on wot acceleration by damper pot oil viscosity as the Bing uses an air damper setup (adjusting piston rise speed is done via the piston spring tension; for aviation this is not applicable as throttle augmentation is minimal during operation)
