Where you located? Maybe someone around you that has a SW they
haven't installed yet can come by and help you find out. I said earlier
that I don't know of anyone that has had a problem with the Skytec NL
but I would be interested in hearing if someone has.

I've been watching the comments, though I'm looking at my decision in
the rear view mirror. It seems the SkyTec is a good new product and the
B&C is a good old product. Both things being (almost) equal, I bought a
B&C, though I'm sure either would have done equally well. I'll be glad
to get rid of the Lamar PM starter for all the reasons discussed--not a
Lamar problem as much a PM problem. In a Velo, with the battery in the
tippy-nose and the engine in the...well I guess there is no tail---but
way back there---there's little point in having the big inrush for a PM
starter running through a long wire to spin the 540. Fortunately, there
are no clearance problems so I'm hoping I'm good to go. Thanks though,
for the feed back by all.

Michael,

I live in North Central Indiana near Kokomo. My airplane is at 8I3 -- Kokomo
Glenndale. I am not ready to change starters yet anyway, so no rush.
