The address to your website has changed from www.arionaircraft.com to www.flylightning.net. Now I can’t find the online build manual. Where might it be?

Hi All,

The www.flylightning.net site is now back up and running at 100% (I think). Our email should now be working as well. If you sent us email in the last 48 hours please send it again.

If you find any problems with the web site please let me know right away.

All,

I am beginning to get frustrated with this switch of web hosting companies. We decided to change to the new one because we plan on upgrading the flylightning.net site and the web designer I will be working with (the one currently helping me with the Jabiru USA site) has his own web hosting business. Our old provider is proving difficult to work with to allow us to get the job done. Net result is that it will take another day to get it all together.

Please be patient.

Lynn,

I've never accessed it there before and I don't see it there now. But I
did figure out how to access it similar to the way I have always accessed
it.

Thanks,

Steve

Josh,
I have been out of town so that is why I am just now getting around to answering your message. I just wanted to say that you are doing exactly what you should be doing at this point - gathering information. Read about as many airplanes as you can and talk to as many knowledgeable people as you can. But be aware that some that seem like they know what they are talking about may not be the expert they try to pass themselves off as. Also, once you decide what "the mission" will be for your future airplane, that will help narrow down the choices.  Are you looking for a weekend local area airplane or are you looking for a good cross country bird, or a combination of both? Then you need to decide what type of construction you want to do - wood, tube and fabric, all metal, or composite, or in some cases, a combination. Which you chose will determine what specific tools you will need and, to some extent, how long it will take to complete your project. Basically what we are talking about here is really several EAA presentations that I have given in the distant past, but the bottom line is like I said up top. Gather as much information as possible (also talk to builders), then narrow down your list and get demo flights of those airplanes that make your short list. Have fun, that is what this is all about. And if you do your info gathering correctly, you will have fun with your future building and flying.
Blue Skies,
Buz Rich
