I performed my first flight in the new CJ today, and all is well Smile A few things I need to address though. The brake is quite stiff, and it feels like the cable is binding. Whats the length I need to purchase. Any particular brand I should buy, or avoid? I've never replaced one, what kind of job is it?

Thanks

Ernie,We carry the US made brake cables which have the MS stainless steel ball swaged on the end of the cable, instead of the gob of lead solder which is on the stock cables from China.  You will need a nico press tool to install a new cable in your CJ.

Best,
Doug

The new cable is installed from the bottom up, you use the nico press to clamp the cable at the brake handle.  Any mech worth his salt has a tool, the swage is included with the cable.

I have one, just need to know what size? I'm assuming it's to swage on the steel ball?
