				There is a large cylindrical housing behind the front seat on the left side. I assumed it was a Flux Gate for the Compass until someone pointed out that it was in the wing tip.

				So then when I reach 88 Miles an hour then I should be able to Time Travel, but where do I set the date?

				The date is pre-set.  In our CJ it's 1965.  As soon as we get to 88 we instantly go back. Makes me grin every time.

				It's the TH-3 gyro for the compass system.  Pay attention to the rubber isolation mounts as they deteriorate and will allow the gyro to fall free when you roll inverted.
