I attended our EAA Chapter 304 meeting tonight, and one of the members
(Tom Cubberly) brought along a DVD with still pictures of the event,
and it was a great-looking/sounding compilation of the pictures of the
event. The guy who Tom hired for the production of the DVD did a great
job on the editing, music, and pacing. He used zooms, pull-backs,
pans...all the stuff that makes an otherwise common slide-show into
something really worth watching.
The DVD's can be purchased for $10 each, they are labeled with the
event's name on them, including a picture, are 16 minutes long, and I
think the price is well worth it. I've ordered two, and told the
photographer to stand by, hoping that the Kitfoxer's in attendance
might want one. There are shots of 4 of the 5 'foxes that were
there...he only missed Alan Blind's 'fox...sorry Alan! He really
captured the event, I felt, and this comes from a former photographer.
He shows the breakfast, the car show, the planes, the crowd, the models
(yes, my P-40 is there...shameless plug), the (few) motorcycles, more
planes, the MIG jet fly-by, the T-6 fly-by, and on and on....
If anybody wants more info, email me directly, or through the list. I
hope this doesn't come across as a commercial endeavor, just want the
folks to know that the DVD exists, and there you are. : )
