All-
I was a little surprised when Gary Boothe quoted me as saying a ZAC replacement Z spar was about the same with shipping as Dave's $75 brake (If you actually paid $75 for the components), but then again, I guess I am an authority on the cost of replacement "Oops" parts. I bought enough of them over the years!

Bill,
What I did not specify was that I actually spent close to $200 for my brake (hanging my head in shame). I think that’s closer to your replacement cost prediction…

The metal for my brake came to $160.00 so I am guess I came to about $200.00 total for the whole thing also.

Oh well, it's done. At least you get a little satisfaction that you'll save from here on in. Cost of my ZAC Z spar was a shade under $100 with shipping.
What's sad is, ZAC replacement parts are pretty reasonable- the shipping kills you.
