Hello Listers,

I got an answer from Zenith! With reference to the probem I was having with the rear longerons extending away from the bottom skin resulting in an edge distance of 6-7mm at the HT Frame, I was sent this email from Caleb Gebhardt at Zenith Aircraft.

"I've had a look at the pictures you sent and looked over your problem. You won't have a problem with it having an edge distance of 6mm. The absolute minimum edge distance is 1.5 x diameter of the hole, which for those rivets the minimum is 4.75mm."

Thanks to those of you who responded. This was one of those areas that I just worried about because of the loads. At least now I know the "Real" rule regarding edge distance. I'll stay with the 3X distance but at least I won't worry as much if I drop to 2-2.5X.

Now, on to the Bottom Access Panel...
