I too have an EA81 and cockpit adjustable Prop. The bad news is I have not completed building to the point that I have registered the aircraft. It's also the good news because I too am contemplating building my Model 5 very light and registering it as an ELSA.
Here's my point: It is my understanding that the light sport plane rules don't allow an aircraft that has been operated with an adjustable prop to be "downgraded" to a LSA, even if the prop is replaced with a fixed pitch one. (Do I have it right?)
