Here is a repeat of the vent pics for "kirkhull"
I added some comments below.

Yes the vent is at the top of the tank under the
flange. One can use a swivel 90 deg fitting. Some
have female threads so one has to use a close
union In any event they are available. Check
hydraulic supply houses. Check the car nut places
like Earls. Attached is a couple of pics for an
even easier way using AN fittings & a straight
swivel from the hydraulics house + soft Al tubing.

----------
PS, The hydraulic people only sell cad plated
steel fittings with the AN 37 deg flare.
PPS, I used a 90 deg bulkhead hyd fitting for the
fuel line where it penetrates the firewall. A
good upgrade for fire protection wherein it replaces the kit aluminum one.
PPPS,
With regard to the original issue of unequal tank
feed - Don is probably correct in that the
partially blocked vent is not the problem. Having
said that I sure would not want my vent line to
have any issues which is why I used the 90 deg fitting and SAE vent hose.

Paul-
In my IV tanks, made in 1994, the vent opening
is so close to the top flange of the tank that
it would be impossible to use a 90° fitting,
because you would not be able to rotate it.
Where did you hear about "the preferred 90
degree fitting"?...and what makes it preferable?
