I fly with a 447 on a Firestar and it just sips fuel for the preformance and I have 400 untouched hours on it and still going great
but I purchased a NEW engine another 447 with electronic ignition instead of Points this time but not in any hurry to install it yet
because of its realiablity its a great little engine Properly maintained
my 2 cents worth
its my story and Im stickin to it

David, I fly the Firefly with a 447 on floats. The Firestar has a little more wing but other than that they are similar. With no windshield or fairings at all I fly at 60 mph and 5900 rpm. Takeoff and climb is spectacular. The 447 is all I need.
