Please respond to the list. We need to hear from anyone that has Rotax alternatives. Lets also hear about BMW, other VW, Verner, rotary, HKS, Jabiru or any other engine. Most people aren't aware that a engine package takes time to develop. Even Jabirus needed time to work through a development period on a Kolb. My VW has been flying for better than six years and I'm still refining the package. Let us know your successes and disappointments help others make the right choices and avoid the same mistakes. Maybe the right choice is a big buck Rotax. I we don't share the our engine information and the process to get to a refined package someone will attempt a alternative engine when may be they shouldn't. Or may they should.
I will be at the Kolb Homecoming with my redrive VW powered Kolb MKIIIc. Hope to be there Thursday save me some sausage.
