Hi Folks,
I'm just about ready to fit the transducers for the fuel
meter, I presume the best place for them would be in the tunnel. also if
fitted in the tunnel would I still have to use the fire sleeve
provided? shouldn't think it would be that hot in there (I hope !!!).

On a very similar subject - I'd like to fit one of the MGL fuel pressure
gauges - they recommend a VDO transducer with a 'fuel isolator' (which I
assume prevents the fuel from escaping in the event that the diaphragm in
the transducer fails).

Can I ask what transducers others have fitted for fuel pressure and if
they've found it necessary to use an isolator?

If anyone has any experiences of the MGL range, that would be appreciated
too.

Thanks

Peter

Hi Peter, if you are in the UK the PFA will not approve the MGL fuel flow
transducer- i have a brand new unused one which is now an expensive mantle piece ornament ! they did approve the Floscan Fuel Flow Transducer.
hope this info is of some use,

thanks for this steve - was really looking at the pressure transducer (VDO)
but it goes on about a fuel isolator.

Do you have the MGL fuel computer? If so, is it a good bit of kit? I guess
you need two flowscans - one for the feed and one for the return?

Yes i have have fitted the MGL fuel computer - it has a bar graph which
displays calculated fuel contents, the transducer is a Flosan fitted only in
the feed line -not the return, you can adjust the calibation to allow for the
return unused fuel.
