Aero Commander Down In Oklahoma Four Die On The Way To NBAA

 Four men are dead after
their plane apparently broke up in-flight over eastern
 Oklahoma.

The Associated Press reports the plane's owner, Jon Olsen,
was in the co-pilot's seat, and his father-in-law Charles Howard
was on the pilot's side. Olsen was a CFI.

Two others were riding along on the flight from Oklahoma City.
The men were on their way to Orlando Florida to attend the NBAA
 convention.

The wreckage of the Aero Commander 690 (file photo of
type) was strewn over a wide area of rugged terrain near
Antlers Oklahoma. Authorities used four-wheel-drive vehicles and
horses to search the area by ground after the plane was reported
 missing last Sunday afternoon.

Controllers say the aircraft climbed to 23,000 feet out of Wiley
Post airport into an area of heavy rain before disappearing from
 radar.

The widely-scattered wreckage hampered efforts to locate the
victims bodies. Searchers found the final victim's on
 Thursday.
