Hi, this is Bill Schertz, now located in Lolo, Montana. I did finish a KIS 4place with a rotary engine in it.

Wish I could converse in French but I only took one year of French in school and failed the class. Only took it because the teacher was beautiful and I don't think I heard a thing she said the entire time. But that was a long, long time ago.

I haven't sold my project but I haven't finished it yet either. Life keeps getting in the way and now age is starting to do the same. I haven't updated the website in years but that is another long story. I have finished all the glass work and installed the top. Started prime painting the fuselage just before the end of summer. Still working on the final finish of the cowling before paint.

Next will be all the electrical work. Engine in mounted, pressure cowling finished and need to hook up fuel lines. I estimate about 250 hours of work remaining.

Paul Lamar did buy a TR-4 from someone but I don't remember who it was. I haven't heard from him in years and don't have any idea of how to get in touch with him. I am copying this reply to the KISBUILDERS news group to see if anyone else may know how to get in touch with Paul. We also have another builder (Bill Schertz) who has built and is flying a rotary.

I followed your project for a while… and was dreaming to build the same. But unfortunately, I can’t as in France kit is allowed for a 2 seater max. I wanted a 4 seats, then decided to build from scratch the BD4C (ugly aircraft compared to the kis… but no choice…)
I just discover you sold your project (personal troubles I am facing too Bob….) and get so sad you have to stop.
I know you sold it to Paul Lamar.
I would be very glad to contact Paul as I am deeply searching for support to install a rotary engine in my aircraft. Why a rotary? Because not expensive versus a Lycoming engine… and because a bunch of money disappeared in my divorce too…. Then I try to find a way to finish it… and the rotary engine is the only route I can follow.

And do hope also Paul will make your project flying… Life is not easy…..
