Just a quickie on Sun & Fun.
We had 16 airplanes show up. CJ-6s and one Yak-52.
We have to give a BIG thanks to Bill "Pirate" Mills and his "Heels" (aka Kim) for hosting us with steaks, bratwurst, cookies, beer, rum etc etc
The friendship around their RV after show time, will long be remembered.
Weather was in one word HOT. Two afternoon TS during the whole time. Some - - NO - - a lot of mud.
There was a real mix-up in EAA/EAAWB about the airshow scheduling which they tried to make up to us as best they could. With the T-birds there, they didn't have much wiggle room. Longer story later. Because of it yours truly got to play at being an announcer for 2 days. BTW Bill Fisher (EAAWB) and I make a pretty good team at it. 
A lot of 'eye candy'. (must a T-bird induced phenomenon)
For the first time ever, we were able to plan and have our airplanes (a CJ-6 & the Yak-52) do some acro durning our turn in front of the crowd.
I personally logged over 4 hours of formation airshow time.
For me the most meaningful part was on the last day. Myself, Pirate, and with Rich "Smiley" Langer as lead, flew a missing man at show start in honor of the MIAs (3) whose remains have just been returned home from VN.
If you missed it - - - well there is always next year. Or even OSH!
