Request Help from L-29 Experts
I'm having an issue with the airspeed and altimeter indications being slow to indicate properly. For example, during acceleration and climb the indicators lag behind the actual numbers. Then when established in a steady state situation, the airspeed and altimeter indicate exactly correct - as checked with an accompanying aircraft. The same lag occurs as the aircraft is slowing or descending.
A ground pitot-static check indicates perfect with no leaks.
Our research has found no blockage thus far of the lines from the booms to the fuselage.
However, we found three lines attached to the left boom (right boom has two). Two of them are connected to the pitot and static lines. We are not sure where the third line goes.
The maintenance diagrams show only two lines to the left boom.
Does anyone have three lines to their left pitot-static boom? Does anyone know what the third line if for?
Thanks,
Stan Sutterfield

Hi Stan
Not sure on three lines to left side.
However, just a question to help narrow down the fault: Have you performed a pitot-static ground check on both sides? Were the results the same?
Cheers Jorgen
