I have a 70 amp alternator and have a D180 with the dynon shunt. I also have a ANL-60 protecting the layout....should I replace that with a ANL-80?

The above was posted on VansAirforce by Don. I replied that 60 amp ANL should work fine. But decided to post it on the AeroElectric list to get more qualified opinions.

No, 60A will be fine. As you can see below,
even an ANL50 would not be severely stressed by
a 70A alternator . . .
