|

Hi All
I am attempting to assemble the Trim Damper system but the M5x60 bolt appears too long and is hitting the bracket TS02.
I have used an FL14 spacer and AN960-416L washer on both sides of the bellcrank bearing.
Have I done something wrong or am I supposed to trim the M5x60 bolt to a suitable length?
Thanks for any advice.
Graeme

Graeme,
You should not have to trim the M5 bolt.
TS03 bellcrank is supported by AN4-15A bolt with two FL14 spacers.
The friction assembly attaches to the bellcrank in the hole aft of the bellcrank bearing. Fig 2 page 19-2 shows how the friction assembly is made. The M5 bolt is secured by M5 nyloc and check nuts.
Hope this helps.

Thanks Jim and/or Heather
I realise my mistake now. I was trying to install the M5 bolt like a normal bolt with the head up against the nut end of the TS04A shaft.
Looking at figure 6 on page 4 I realise that there is a gap between the head of the nut and the end of the shaft.
Now I just need to order some replacement TS04B friction washers (due to me getting some nickel anti seize compound on them).
Thanks again
Graeme
