I hope everyone got back home safely.
It was another great Lightning homecoming. As always it was great to see everyone and meet some folks I hadn't yet met. I think there were approx. 7 or 8 "jets" who went to the breakfast and several of them participated in the speed and navigation flights.
After breakfast, we had a very informative presentation by Gary Smrtic from AM Composites, LLC. He and his staff are continuously improving the Lightning fuselage and wings. Strengthening and reducing weight at the same time. Always trying to improve their product.
Afterwards, We all enjoyed a nice BBQ lunch hosted by the Arion Lightning folks and then the races began. Later in the evening we all went to the Bell Buckle café for a nice dinner and a lot of fun pilot "stories".
thanks to Nick, Mark and the entire Arion staff for once again hosting a very nice homecoming.

The Lightning Homecoming was a lot of fun. Glad everyone got home safe.
Hoowever, something is wrong with the Matronics list. I never saw Bear's e-mail, but saw Nick's. I have been missing posts to the lists I am connected to.

Bear is absolutely right, the Lightning guys once again provided a great "Homecoming and Fly-In." Great weather, good flying, and renewing old friendships plus making new ones.
Just FYI, I'm now in Colorado for my Academy reunion and will head to Nevada this Sunday. When I'm not flying a Lightning I sure enjoy driving this Corvette.
