Several people have recently asked me about this. But in essence:
It is only applicable to the 52, and not to the 50.
However, it genuinely is a critical modification for the 52, and they have been several fatal accidents in Russia to unmodified aircraft where the elevator jams.
Modification kits are available from Lithuania.

Yes – that is good. As you know, I am not in the parts business, but I know that Sarunas in Lithuania has got kits.

What is the background on these failures? Any western accidents attributed to this failure?
There is very little information on this....
