Hi folks, I was delighted to get those dipstick data because I so far couldn`t make one. Now i can.
For those of you who have a metric, meaning liter display on their fuel gauges (I have) here is a conversion of the data to ltr / cm.
It`s calculated by applying pure math to Nick`s table so it is just as correct - as long as I didn`t make any calculation mistakes! .Normal { margin:1.0pt; margin-top:1.0pt; margin-bottom:1.0pt; margin-left:0.0pt; margin-right:0.0pt; text-indent:0.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman"; font-size:10.0pt; color:Black; font-weight:normal; } h1 { margin:1.0pt; margin-top:12.0pt; margin-bottom:3.0pt; margin-left:0.0pt; margin-right:0.0pt; text-indent:0.0pt; font-family:"Arial"; font-size:18.0pt; color:Black; font-weight:bold; } h2 { margin:1.0pt; margin-top:12.0pt; margin-bottom:3.0pt; margin-left:0.0pt; margin-right:0.0pt; text-indent:0.0pt; font-family:"Arial"; font-size:16.0pt; color:Black; font-weight:bold; } h3 { margin:1.0pt; margin-top:12.0pt; margin-bottom:3.0pt; margin-left:0.0pt; margin-right:0.0pt; text-indent:0.0pt; font-family:"Arial"; font-size:14.0pt; color:Black; font-weight:bold; } .PageBreak { page-break-after:always; } .tm5 { font-family:"Arial"; font-weight:bold; } .tm6 { font-family:"Arial"; }
Left Tank Right Tank
12 l 1,0cm 12 l 0,7cm
24 l 3,4cm 24 l 4,0cm
36 l 6,4cm 36 l 7,7cm
48 l 9,7cm 48 l 11,4cm
You might notice that the markings are higher on the right tank stick side on all markings except for the 12l mark which is lower. Nick and Dennis , is there possibly something wrong?
Grey skies where they should be blue ( well, here in Hessen, anyway. Late April still on.)

Gerd,
I really did not look at the numbers closely, I just copied and pasted them into the newsletter. Maybe Nick can look at them and see if he made a mistake when he sent them to me.
