Hello Europa Builders,
I am about to add a separate antenna to my vertically installed COM antenna (which works fine).
Is this correct: for best NAV/VOR reception: install Horizontally, that is centre antenna located at top fuselage, bending both ends down.

Hi Christoph,
I've just fitted a VOR/GS antenna on the belly of my Europa Tri-Gear just aft of the hatch for the central tunnel on the underside (see attached pic). It works a treat and it's all signed-off by the LAA inspector! It's a CI 157P antenna. You can either have the V of the antenna pointing forwards or backwards.

Very helpful advice, thank you!
Now, the question remains, is it better to orient the antenna horizontally for NAV, compared to vertically for COM?

BOB Archer makes a whole set of antennas for glass aircraft. Aircraft Spruce sells them. I put my VOR antenna in the wing. I can get a good signal fifty to sixty miles away.

I hope you have not closed out your wing. If you have then you could built a Balun antenna.
