Hi Guys
Are the standard 'magnetos' as supplied on a standard Lycoming -320 (via Vans) supplied with one Impulse coupled (left hand) mag. or are they both Impulse coupled.

John | You'd need to ask Van's to be sure. But most 'standard' configured Lycs have one impulse, on the left side. It's relatively easy to check an existing engine; the impulse mag is about an inch 'taller' than a non-impulse, in the area of the mounting flange. It takes longer mounting studs for the impulse mag.
