I have been asked if people could see examples of the M 14 posters. These
have been reduced, but I still suspect that there might be too much for the
yak-list. But obviously the quality is much poorer than new ones will be.
But they are big – as I have written before 2' x 3'. But at least they give
an indication of what they are. Also, for reasons I can't explain I only
have 17 on an email, but there are 21 altogether.

But I suspect the real deciding factor for most people will be cost, which
as yet I do not know! On another point will be that we would only sell them
as a complete set of 21 – clearly we could not break up complete sets to
 satisfy individual people!

				Hello Comrades-

I have an alternative that may interest you if the larger 2’x 3’ poster size are cost prohibitive. I have a portfolio of the same diagrams that are downsized to about 11” x 17”and there are 32 laminated “placemat“ sized M14P cutaway diagrams with everything from the cylinders to compressor to oil pump and prop. Attached are a few photos of the portfolio. They really are a pretty neat visual reference and Maint aid; selling off some of my things for other reasons. $250 plus shipping and it’s yours for your reference library.Pls email me directly me if you want more info or pics.Sincerely - Hank

As an alternative to printing and posting with high cost etc how about getting them scanned Hi res then making them available digitally. Charge as required to cover the costs of getting good scan s done.

If they exist already as hi res digital images then easy ask a fair price and see where it goes.

Of course I know nothing about printing something like this, although I used
to be in the business of printing bank-notes, but that was a long time ago.
But I suppose that the first step they would need to do would be to scan or
photograph the originals – but when I see the printers tomorrow I will
 discuss.

If someone has a clean full set that they can send me or a hi resolution digital version, the RPA can produce them and make them available through the website store. We have a very good printing company that produces our magazine, Red Alert.

Well, for those of you who could be interested in these posters, have done
the sums, but do need to have a significant amount of definite orders to
make sense! The main points are:

For those who didn't see the photos attached above, these are poor
photographs which have then been scanned. The originals are much higher
quality and full colour. There are 21 posters in total.

The original size is 3 foot times 2 foot (900 mm times 600 mm). But it seems
that it would be very expensive to print to that size, so I obtained a
quotation to print at 2'4"×1'8" (700 mm times 500 mm). These are still
substantial, and I suspect not many people are going to have sufficient wall
space to mount all of them! But obviously full colour and glossy.

 The work would then involve scanning each of the posters; printing them;
collating into groups of 21; purchasing appropriate cardboard tubes; putting
the posters inside the tubes. So, ignoring postal charges, I would need to
sell 75 sets of posters at Ł75 (GBP) (Euro 84; US $9 to make any sense of
the work that would be involved. It is worth saying that the Yakovlevs team
here in the UK have approximately 15 from the original sets that we
manufactured, and are asking Ł150 a set – so precisely double, but of course
 in the original size.

I'm copying this to Jeremy there and anyone who wants to deal directly with
him – that is absolutely fine. Or if you would like the slightly smaller
ones please let me know, and let us see if sufficient numbers of people are
 interested!

				Hello Richard,
Thanks a lot for your work.
I would love to have a set in the original format if that is possible.
Would you please tell me how to proceed. I do not see the mail of Jeremy in your email.
If not possible I am OK with a smaller size set.
 Great thanks
 Warm regards
 Didier

				Hello again Richard,
Would you have a good scan of these posters?
That also would be of great interest and I am of course ready to purchase.
 Thanks again
 Didier
