I know this is a controversial subject, but...

  

 

  My 2007 Silverado has a zillion band-gig miles on it. Last week, it woke up with a nasty, new case of tappet noise. "Oh, Crap!" I went to the hangar and checked the oil level: FULL. I added about a tablespoon of MMO. Started it - still there. 'Worked for a  while and started it again - GONE! Hasn't reappeared since. 

  

 

  Science? Voodoo? Witchcraft? Machine oil w/ Red Dye #3 and peppermint favoring? Whatever it takes to KEEP 'EM FLYING! (or hauling!)...
