If you look back in the archives this has been covered several times, Zenith approves (or at least Chris did to me in a letter) the use of 3/4"x3/4"x1/8" extrusion 6061-T6 in place of the .093. The weight penalty if you use the 1/8" throughout the airplane is about 4# if memory serves. I asked if any strength was gained in the wings and he said no. Use whatever rivets give you the proper finished shop head, not trying to be cute, sometimes things don't work EXACTLY for some like they do for others so it's best to do a couple samples with what looks close and adjust depending on the results.
