Can anyone that is near completion or has completed the plane tell me were
the battery cable goes once it is infront of the front seats. Does the cable
stay along the side and avoid interfering with the rudder pedals and goes up
into the upper consol or do they drop below into the space between the real
floor and the floor beneath the pedals/
Thanks

The battery cable goes along the left side of the plane up to and through
the firewall. Vans electrical installation instructions (comes with the
wiring kit) has the cable go through right at the very edge of the firewall
below the starter contactor.

So basically it just keeps running straight until it hits the firewall.
Does that mean that holes need to be drilled in the "J" type bulkhead
(vertically placed skin stiffner)that is right next to the rudder pedal. I
am not planning on cutting anything or drilling anything in this area
because I'm not needing to now, but trying to get a mental image of where
everthing is going. I've got fat cable on right and left sides of the fuse
for dual batteries.
I've had a difficult time finding pictures on builders web sites and seeing
what I am looking for.
