Good advise, keep both planes if possible! I have a great RV-6A and a Kitfox. The Kitfox will get a lot more use as it is perfect for low scenic flights and uses about $10 per hour of fuel (912 UL) compared to $35 per hour on the RV (0-360). But the RV will get you there fast, like a time machine!

I don't think it should be kitfox vs. RV, because I think if you have both then you have the best of both worlds. Like you said, for flying scenic, the fox outshines, but for flying long distances, the RV shines. I wouldn't think of putting my RV into some of the stripes in the back country, but I wouldn't think twice of putting the fox back there.
