Gday Bob,
I just discovered your unanswered email buried in the long list - sorry......
No, Hans hasn't tried 40* because he doesn't like even 30*. Control becomes heavy and vague and lots of adverse yaw with very little useable decrease in touchdown speed. But 15* is really good so he's modifying his flap control to only use 15*.....
