After almost 4 months (three days short). we finally got an FAA airworthiness certificate today. So we now have a new N number and are legal to fly in the USA. Tomorrow I start to put everything back together after the inspection and hopefully take to the skies. The actual FAA inspection was a fairly painless experience consisting of mainly paperwork checks. It actually proved a bit of an anti climax after spending several days preparing for a full and in depth inspection process. The main thing is we are now legal to fly. I just gotta get used to the new N number instead of the G registration. Anyone interested in the process of importing a home built aircraft into the U.S contact me offline and I will be pleased to supply details of how to do it and how NOT to do it, as we have become experts of the last few months. Hope to see everyone at Sun n Fun.
Cheers
