Guys,
I have had a problem recently. When trying to update and buy some
life insurance I've gotten alot of questions about flying details.
When I try to explain experimental homebuilt vs. experimental
exhibiton (Yak and Wilga) I get nowhere. I used to just pay the base
rate for life ins. Then I had an upcharge for flying, now all I can
find is they want to exclude aviation. They have alot of questions
about acro and formation flying. I do not fly in airshows, do not
have a FAST card and only fly for pleasure and hanging out with
pilots like everyone on the list.
Anyone have similar troubles or have favorable insurance that covers
aviation?

Herb,
Try a insurance company that insures military members/ aviators. I use
USAA. They have not questioned any of my aviation activities (military nor
civilian).

Avemco offers term life without exclusions for normal flying. I believe it
covers experimental but may not cover other non-normal flying (airshows
etc).
