A compromise one might consider to reduce the extreme fore-aft axle location is to use the narrower 4-1/2" wide Grove gear. In checking my not yet installed Grove gear I find that the axle placement reversal distance is only about 2-1/4". I'm hoping that the Grove gear, albeit more expensive but substantially lighter, will, with the flat side forward, prove to put the axles in good location. Has anyone using the Grove gear considered or designed an attachment method that would allow relatively easy adjustment of the gear fore 'n aft within the wider ZAC gear channel?
