Here is a question for all you 2 stroke experts. I have a Rotax 447 that I just bought a new powerfin adjustable prop for. How do I set it up for EGT's ? I am going to set the pitch so that it is maximum torque at WOT, not redline the rpm ! What EGT should I be looking for ? With the old wood prop on there, it ran fine, but it would tend to bog down and die if I let it to idle and increased the throttle rapidly. Only giving throttle very slowly would save it. I think that means a rich idle, but im not totally sure. Any advice on how to set up and jet this engine for the new prop and sea level altitude would be appreciated.
