I managed to drop my AN-5812 pitot tube, and broke the brown
(Bakelite?) electrical connector. The connector is labeled as
"39A3637". Googling shows a whole host of expensive looking
suppliers that might have it, but I would appreciate any
recommendations on places to try for a cheaper price.
Thanks,

Kevin -
I think Bob recently ran an experiment focused on the power connecters for
that pitot tube. If memory serves, he reported that in operation, the
connectors do not get hot enough to jeopardize simple soldered connections.
The final recommendation was to solder a pigtail to the tube's power stubs
and attach a more common, less expensive connector of your choosing to the
pigtail.
