Bent belly whip antenna is slightly compromised in the vertical polarization plane for com signals but hardly a noticeable difference from a straight whip.

Bent or sloping whip makes virtually no difference. The ground plane is still flat, the magnetic component of the radiated field is caused by current flow, most of which occurs in the first third of the whip, so this portion is the area to leave straight.
